FEATIU EE-ECE Dept Strengthens Industry Linkages

The Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering (EE-ECE) Department of FEATI University continues to bridge academic learning with real-world applications through a series of educational company visits conducted in Baguio City from March 23 to 25, 2026. The activity was led by Engr. Virgilio A. Zacarias Jr., EE-ECE Chairperson, together with Engr. Erwin L. Francisco, Senior Faculty Member, who guided the students throughout the trip.

Railway Cluster - Tokyo Metro on-site training in Japan

Selected students and faculty members of FEATI University successfully completed a training program at the Tokyo Metro Academy, focusing on the Maintenance and Inspection of Urban Railway Tracks.

The program provided in-depth knowledge of the Tokyo Metro Civil Engineering Department’s standards and practices for maintaining and inspecting urban railway infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and stable transportation services. Participants were immersed in both comprehensive face to face lectures and rigorous hands-on training sessions, allowing them to directly experience Japan’s world class railway maintenance methodologies.

A special dinner was tendered by Mr. Francisco A. Segovia, Chief Executive Officer of FEATI University, together with Mrs. Jowina “Ging” M. Segovia, Senior High School Executive Director, and Dr. Melanie P. Florentino, Dean of Student Affairs and Head of Alumni Affairs, in honor of the remarkable achievements of the Geodetic Engineering Licensure Examination (GELE) 2025 passers.

Highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Certificate of Recognition to Engr. Miguel B. Rasco, Top 1 in the GELE 2025, for bringing pride and distinction to FEATI University and the Geodetic Engineering Department.

Tokyo Metro hands over Rolling Stock Equipment to FEATI Univ. in the Republic of the Philippines

Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Taito ward, Tokyo; President: Akihiro Kosaka; hereinafter referred to as "Tokyo Metro") has transferred rolling stock equipment previously used in its operations to FEATI University in the Republic of the Philippines on September 25th, 2025. This initiative aims to contribute to the development of railway professionals in the Republic of the Philippines by leveraging Tokyo Metro's expertise and experience in railway operations.

CAAP INSPECTS FEATI SKILLS TEST FACILITY

Dr. Edward Ebasco, Senior Airworthiness Inspector of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) conducted / completed the annual audit on 04 February, 2024.

The FEATI Skills Test Facility (STF), a unit under FEATI Professional Schools is accredited by CAAP to certify the compliance of Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) in order to be granted a license by CAAP . The FEATI STF is authorized to test and certify in Airframe, Powerplant and Airframe & Powerplant.

The renewed authorization of the FEATI STF will be extended to 30 April 2026.

Railway Safety Seminar

On October 22, 2024, the FEATI Railway Society, with the support of the FEATI Railway Program, conducted an introductory activity on railway safety for students in the Railway Program. This initiative aimed to enhance the students' awareness of essential railway practices. During the event, the FRS also distributed personal protective equipment (PPE) to the students, which they will use during laboratory sessions, site visits, and training activities. This effort underscores the FRS's commitment to fostering a safe and informed learning environment for future railway professionals.
