FEATI University Students Recognized at the 2026 National Innovation Day
FEATI University students proudly ranked among the Top 10 Food and Agribusiness teams at the HABI 4.0 Workshop—a major highlight of the 2026 National Innovation Day (NID) event at Diamond Hotel Manila on April 28, 2026.
This year’s event focused on the theme “AGOS ASEAN: Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Growth, Opportunity, and Sustainability in ASEAN,”which aimed to recognize outstanding ASEAN innovators and promote collaboration among government, industry, academe, and startups. The event was also held as part of the Philippines’ activities as Chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2026.
Representing FEATIU were members of the College of Business department, and students Francel Campo (2ndYear, BSBA-Marketing Management), Vince Charles De Guzman (3rd Year, BSIT), and Gregg Angelo Abesamis (4th Year, BSAeroEng), who presented their paper, “BukidLink: Farm Direct Shopping App”. From 100 competing schools, they advanced as one of 11 finalists in the Food and Agribusiness category.
Their participation provided invaluable competitive experience and exciting opportunities to collaborate with peers from other institutions, fostering confidence, strengthening skills, and broadening perspectives vital to academic and professional growth.
This experience underscored the University’s engagement in government-related events and initiatives, particularly those organized by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev). It also deepened students’ awareness of the value of collaboration between academic institutions and government agencies in advancing development, innovation, and community engagement.
FEATI University’s participation in National Innovation Day reflects its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and student excellence through engagement with academic and government initiatives. Warmest congratulations to the students for proudly representing the University and brilliantly showcasing FEATInian innovation on the national stage!
