Honoring the Legacy, Shaping the Future: Dr. Susan M. Gallardo Inaugurated as FEATI University’s 6th President

FEATI University officially ushered in a new era of leadership with the inauguration of Dr. Susan Manalastas-Gallardo as its sixth President on July 21, 2026, at the Admiral Hotel Manila, attended by distinguished guests from CHED-NCR, DepEd-NCR, MARINA, PACU, and PACUCOA.

A distinguished chemical and environmental engineer, Dr. Gallardo holds degrees from UST, UP Diliman, and the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and completed postdoctoral research as a Fulbright fellow at UC Riverside. As the first lady engineer at Resins Inc., and later as a University Fellow and administrator at De La Salle University, she earned recognition for her groundbreaking research, publications, and mentorship. Her leadership has been honored with national awards and has driven community projects focused on water quality and sustainable development.

In her address, Dr. Gallardo outlined key priorities for FEATI: strengthening faculty development and research, expanding industry partnerships for graduate competitiveness, and driving digital transformation. Her vision is to make FEATI University responsive to industry and society, while upholding the University’s core values.

She also emphasized the importance of servant leadership: “Leadership is not about position or authority. It is about service. It is about inspiring people to work together toward a common purpose.”

While honoring the vision of the University’s founders, Dr. Gallardo underscored that the collective efforts of the entire FEATI community will drive the University’s transformation. “Transformation is a shared responsibility. Every member of our University community has a role to play… Together, we will build an institution where excellence is not merely an aspiration but a daily commitment.”

Representing the stakeholders and invited guests, Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo, CESE, Regional Director of CHED-NCR, delivered a message of felicitation to welcome FEATI’s new President.

Guided by Dr. Gallardo’s vision, FEATI University begins a new chapter with renewed purpose and optimism. As the OneFEATI community, we move forward with bold confidence, honoring our legacy of excellence while pioneering a future of achievement and innovation.
