Feati Launches Seminars To Improve Faculty Professional Skills

In August 2026, FEATI University launched a seminar series with the objective of improving the delivery of academic programs to higher levels of quality, competency and capability.

The program, delivered through six (6) intensive, highly interactive seminars and workshops, were attended by the University’s academic group. Full time / Part time instructors, Program Heads, Department Heads and Deans were joined by the University President, Dr. Susan M. OBE Seminar Gears Up Faculty for FEATI’s Accreditation with PACUCOA

A two-day seminar on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) was organized by the Professional Schools of the FEATI University in preparation for the accreditation of the institution’s programs with the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).

Titled “Establishing the Constructive Alignment Blueprint” the seminar consisted of lectures and workshop from the tandem of educator-spouses Prof. Alberto A. Laurito and Dr. Evelyn R. Laurito who are both known advocates of OBE and the use of technology in teaching, including Artificial Intelligence (AI). It was held at the Library from August 14 to August 15, 2026, attended by 60 participants, including those who attended online.

Professional Schools Organizes Seminar on Teaching Strategies, Other Faculty Development Topics

Equipping faculty members with approaches and plans for more effective instruction, the Professional Schools organized a seminar on “Teaching Strategies” held on August 7, 2026 at the Senior High School Robotics Room. The resource person was University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Executive Vice President Dr. Marjorie Gutierrez- Tangog.

Custodio Discusses Learning Assessment, Test Construction at FEATI Faculty Seminar​​​​​​

Renowned speaker and educator Dr. Perlita Custodio shared her expertise on assessment and testing in the faculty seminar on “Assessment of Learning with Test Construction” held on August 4, 2026 at the Senior High School Robotics Room.

Custodio, who serves as Assistant Director of the Perpetual Help University DALTA Executive Accreditation and Audit Center, began the discussion with Stephen Covey’s second habit: “Begin with the end in mind” because assessment and testing are activities in class that take place toward the end of the semester but, it should be one of the initial concerns of the teacher.

FEATI Prepares Faculty To Use AI In Teaching

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a hot topic for discussion in various fora including its use for academic purposes by both teachers and students, citing its pros and cons, and the challenges that academics face considering the adeptness of students in the use of technology. However, the FEATI University, looked at the reality of AI from a different light and instead looked at it as a tool to help teachers in their various functions in the academe. Thus, on August 1, 2026, Deputy to the CEO for New Technologies Programs Engr. Sofia C. Rey gave a lecture and workshop on “AI Teacher ’s Toolbox 2026.”

The institution successfully conducted a Research Topic Selection and Research Agenda Development Workshop, aimed at strengthening the research capabilities of faculty members across departments. The event featured a lecture and open discussion on selecting relevant and impactful research topics, followed by a session on developing a well-structured research agenda, and a hands-on workshop proper where participants worked by department to craft their own research agendas.
