RACE TO RAISE: FEATI's first Dragon Boat event in the Pasig River
FEATI University's "Race to Raise" Dragon Boat event is happening on December 4, 2011, Sunday at 8:00 A.M. with teams from the novice and professional categories ready to go head-to-head and oar-to-oar to race and raise awareness for the Pasig River.
Caring for the environment has long been an advocacy for FEATI. In the past the university led and participated in events such as a green fashion show, a rock band competition for the environment, and tree planting at the La Mesa Watershed. This time (and since FEATI is beside the Pasig River) the focus is on raising awareness for the river as an ideal location for Dragon Boat racing. This is the first time that the 65-year academic institution will attempt to pull together a logistically-challenging race to push the river's cause.
