Food, Faith, and Fellowship: FEATI University Engineering Students Serve with Purpose
On May 17, 2025, FEATI University, in partnership with Arise4Dignity, continued its fourth of five Saturday food missions with the College of Engineering. Students from BS Civil Engineering, BS Geodetic Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering with Specialization in Railways Engineering, and BS Information Technology participated in the outreach activity, distributing food and offering support to the beneficiaries.
Bro. Armin Demetillo shared a reflection centered on two key truths: “God loves us,” a reminder that this love is constant, whoever we are, and the call to open our hearts and souls to receive it. He emphasized the universality of God’s love, saying, “God’s love excludes no one.” Highlighting the commandment, “Love your neighbors as I love you,” he urged everyone to let go of anger and embrace love, which alone can set us free. Bro. Armin also expressed his heartfelt thanks to FEATI University for being a constant and faithful partner in the food mission, acknowledging the university’s continued presence and support throughout the outreach.
On the sidelines, beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the volunteers through quiet words of thanks, warm smiles, and heartfelt gesture. These small but sincere tokens of appreciation spoke volumes.
The mission continues to reflect FEATI University’s deep commitment to compassion, service, and community engagement which proves that engineering education is not only about building structures, but also about building lives, guided by purpose, love, and faith in action.
