“Peace Be With You”: Arise4Dignity Movement and FEATI University College of Maritime Education Continue Post-Easter Mission
FEATI University and Arise4Dignity Movement celebrated its third Saturday of outreach in the center of Manila’s historic Malate area, where the spirit of Easter was still evident.
“Peace,” shared Bro. Armin Demetillo “is smiling even when life gets difficult.” The reflection went further to affirm that Jesus, as the way, the truth, and the life, offers a kind of freedom that leads to lasting peace. And with that freedom comes true happiness, the kind that no material possession can provide.
As he led the spiritual reflection, he reminded everyone of three essential calls: Always pray, for Jesus is the only true source of peace; choose to do good, even when no one is watching; and be a testimony of God’s love, letting one’s life speak of faith and hope.
The food mission, which provided hot meals and beverages, was the event’s finale, although the nourishment went beyond basic necessities. It was a morning of renewed purpose, serenity among everybody, and silent reminders of the resurrection’s enduring power.
With the support of FEATI University College of Maritime Education volunteer students, the Arise4Dignity Food Mission continues to share the Easter joy. The hope and comfort brought about by the Resurrection are reflected in every shared meal, prayer, and deed of charity. Their sacrifice shows that tranquility can flourish in daily decisions to serve, share hope, show compassion, and believe in goodness in a world that is often marked by uncertainty. The message of “peace be with you” is still relevant and alive today because of their modest but meaningful actions.
