IT DEPARTMENT WELCOMES NEW INSTRUCTORS  

Students will be seeing new faces in the IT department for the second semester, school year 2007-2008. Four young and dynamic individuals join the roster of IT part time faculty.

Mr. Robby Jay Manubay is a talented Information Management graduate from Colegio de San Juan de Letran (CSJL) with exceptional knowledge and skills in IT.  He is currently continuing his Masters Degree in Education Major in Educational Technology in the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. 

At present, he is connected with the Philippine Business for Social Progress, Manila as a full-time Microsoft Fresh Start for Donated Computers Project Coordinator.

He has established a strong linkage in different IT organizations such as Microsoft Philippines Academic Department at Iplus Inlelligent Network Inc., in Makati City, where he worked as a trainer and a Partner in Learning Ambassador; and at People Ignite Inc., Makati City, where he became a training associate.

He has been a resource person of intellectually stimulating discussions such as “Business Management Training” held in the Mapua Information Technology Center; “Organizational Development in CSJL” held in Letran; and “Personality Development”, which was conducted for the Crestone Real State Sales and Marketing Company.

His numerous awards include Microsoft Icon Ambassador Award 2006, Microsoft Synergy Team Award CSJL- Role Model for Collaboration, Attendee Touch and Group Creativity 2006, among others. 

Mr. Roben Juanatas works as a full-time IT instructor in STI College-Recto, Manila. A technical speaker for IT-related symposia, he is well-versed in Computer Trouble Shooting, Network Hardware Installation and Web Designing.  Roben obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at Adamson University in 2005 and subsequently obtained his Masters in Information Technology at the Technological University of the Philippines early this year.

Mr. Cristopher Esber is a CADCAM Specialist, Metal Fabricator and Machinist. Esber authored, “A Study on the Development of a Special Milling Table Attachment for Lathe Machine” and is presently finishing a technical book on CAD and CADCAM.

His contributions to the IT industry have earned him international recognition, having been awarded for the Development of the TUP Association of Overseas Technical Services in Japan.

Also joining IT’s elite group of educators is Mr. Roxan Ormita. A FEATI product who is “The Pride of the Department”, Roxan’s impressive educational and technical background will definitely help future IT professionals in mastering their chosen field.

 

IT Faculty Member Earns Her Masters in Information Technology

Ms. Charlene Vergara, a part-time IT faculty member has successfully earned her Masters in Information Technology (MIT) degree at Adamson University, Manila in October 2007. She successfully defended her thesis entitled, “Computerized Faculty and Employees Savings and Loan System”.

Ms. Vergara works as a full time instructor in the Information Technology Department of Adamson University.
