ADMISSION SERVICES

Foreign Students

FEATI University International Student Services

International students are foreign nationals who wish to study in FEATI University for a minimum period of two semesters or a period of one academic year.

The FEATI University International Student Services (FUISS) under the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) offers various services for international students on campus to help them blend smoothly to university life through various support programs and services.

Programs and Services

  • Student Life Enrichment Program

This service encourages meaningful participation in co-curricular activities and student organizations for an active and balanced life. It promotes the arts, sports and adventure while encouraging the students to learn, serve and lead by example. The international students are given the opportunity to blend with their fellow students through participation in activities of the University and the various organizations inside and outside the school.

~ Psychological Testing and Counselling Services

The University offers individual and group counselling and psychological testing and assessment services to all students to assist them towards better understanding and adjustment in their academic and personal life. Testing and Counselling services are administered and facilitated by the Guidance & Counselling Office (GCO).

  • Peer Mentoring Program

The GCO has peer mentors who assists students adjust to their life in the university and deal with conflicts that they may encounter. Mentors offer guidance, moral support and a listening ear. Among young people, this type of support helps reduce conflict and stress while in school and hopefully enhance their academic performance. Through this program, the FUISS envisions a campus environment that is conducive to students with diverse cultures.

  • Orientation Program

The OSA conducts orientation program every beginning of the school year. We have the general orientation for all students during the first week of classes and an orientation program specifically prepared for International Students in the succeeding week. Orientation program is handled by the Admissions Office and the FUISS.

  • Information Service and Advising

Students are assigned Academic Advisers who help them in their concerns regarding their academic courses, requirements, attendance, grades and other related academic concerns. The FUISS ensures that all international students know their Academic Advisers.

For non-academic concerns, the FUISS provides advising and consultation for international students, especially on matters that require immediate attention.

FUISS Advisors coordinate with the concerned units regarding the students’ concerns such as:

a. visa and legal requirements for study (Office of the Registrar)
b. issues on adjustment to college life (OSA/GCO/Dept. concerned)
c. personal and social adjustment issues; (OSA/GCO/Dept. concerned)
d. University policies, rules and regulations (OSA)

However, for issues beyond the capacity and authority of the FUISS, the international students are referred to concerned offices for advising and/or resolution.

  • Immigration and Visa Services

The FUISS, through the Office of the Registrar, handles the monitoring, conversion, extension and processing of Student Visa (9F), SpecialSnrdy Permit (SSP), and Alien Certificate of Registration Information-Card (ACR I-Card). Part of the immigration service is providing international students with all the information they need in order to comply and complete all the requirements for their visa processing.
