Management is about working with people for organizational performance. The essence of the management specialization is to understand organizational dynamics and the foundation of decision-making and leadership.
The management concentration is an integrated, interdisciplinary program preparing the students for a broad range of career opportunities. This concentration offers professional training in the complex art of human management as it relates to corporate and organizational behavior in the business world. The field of management requires knowledge of individual and group behavior, the processes of perception, and how people select and interpret information. This concentration provides the tools and skills to lead people and processes, to grow healthy organizations, and to manage simultaneous complex tasks and objectives. Students will gain an understanding of management's importance to society and organizations. They will learn how management can be a force for positive change in a rapidly changing global business environment. More importantly, students are trained how to manage limited resources to attain optimum profitability and attain business success.
With a degree that emphasizes management, the students will not only earn a valuable credential after graduation but also the students can take the information they learn in class today and apply it at work tomorrow.
